DoubleTree by Hilton Libertyville-Mundelein

We stayed here for a soccer tournament because it was close to the field, had good ratings, and is pet friendly. Upon arrival, we saw construction, however we never heard any loud noises or had issues coming and going from the hotel. The rooms were nicer than expected and clean. The king sized bed was very comfortable and I liked the windows in the room. There did not appear to be screens on the windows though, and they slide fully open so that was a little scary, but my child is old enough to not open the window or strong enough so it wasn't an issue. There is a fridge in the room, but no microwaves. The pool was the best part, very large for sitting and swimming, the kids enjoyed that. Also, there is a bar which was super convenient after a long day outside. There was also a restaurant which I ordered a cajun pasta which was satisfactory and the breakfast was satisfactory as well, an upgrade from the usual continental. We also made it to the gym which had a nice set up and we were able to get a full cardio and free weight workout in. There was no issues getting my pup in and out of the hotel, I took the stairs most of the time. There are several entrances to the hotel and the grounds were well maintained. Also, the staff worked with us for a later check out due to the soccer game ending late and gave us warm cookies upon arrival and departure.

I love the pool, it has a bathroom in the pool room and plenty of space to put your towels and belongings down. The rooms are pretty spacious. The hotel is clean & big. Staff is Friendly.

The room was actually bigger that what I thought it would be. It was very comfortable and well equipped. The only thing was that the mini fridge did not cool as it should, but this was not a big issue. It is located within walking distance to restaurants, grocery stores and pubs. If I should return to Mundelein, I will stay here again.
